The SPIE spectrum includes services for industrial plants, complex infrastructures and buildings. The group is also growing through the acquisition of companies. However, the central website of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa (spie.de) doesn’t adequately reflect the company's bigger structure and cannot currently be used as a hub and target page for communications activities. There are currently several websites, such as spie-fleischhauer.com or spie-cegit.de, which exist in parallel to the SPIE website. Palmer Hargreaves' task was to relaunch the website in order to make the one-SPIE approach and the extended range of services clear and tangible. In addition, the goal was to bundle all customer communications on the website.
The website relaunch runs as an agile development project. In addition to developing a new look and feel, the design and content are also being newly designed and restructured. The website relaunch also focuses on optimizing website usability. The spectrum of services is being restructured, which will lead to improved findability. The concept of a tag-based search also simplifies the search for services and ensures that everyone who comes to the website with a specific intention can find their way around the website.
